James E. Carrese
Head Coach of Baseball
Coach Carrese was appointed Head Coach of Baseball at Shenendehowa in the spring of 1991. Since then the Plainsmen Baseball program has established itself as one of the finest
Class AA baseball programs in New York State. Three times in 16 seasons the Plainsmen have been named in national and regional High School baseball polls
{1994-1996-2002} for USA Today, Collegiate Baseball and Easton HS poll.
Shenendehowa Baseball has produced 65
Collegiate baseball players and 7 professional contracts in those 17 seasons. There are currently 13 graduates participating in College baseball. Six of those players are on Division I scholarships. Two graduates are currently pitching for Independent Baseball Clubs..
Coach Carrese`s 16 season record is 262-137
(.656 ) with the Suburban Council record at 175-79 (.690 ).
Under Coach Carrese the Plainsmen have won 11/16 Division Championships, two Section Two Championships (1994 & 1996 ), two NYS Regional Championships,{`94 & `96}.
