The Pitching camp is designed to teach players how to become complete pitchers not just throwers. The camp covers mechanics, grips, routines, arm care, full body care, pre and post -game habits, the mental approach to pitching, fielding, holding runners, pick offs, controlling the game, and how to use the count to your advantage. It is the total package for the aspiring pitcher. The Elite Pitching program is designed for players at the JV and Varsity level that are physically ready to take their training to the next level by throwing two times a week early in the year.
An extensive curriculum that will introduce proper mechanics for the toughest position in baseball, Ball tracking, ball receiving, blocking, footwork, proper mechanics, improved arm strength and conditioning, along with an extensive array of drills that will properly prepare any catcher for the grind of the upcoming season!

Keith Lansley - LEAD PITCHING INSTRUCTOR
Shenendehowa Coach (2003 – Present)
Coach Lansley’s pitching staffs have produced a combined team ERA of 1.86 and a strike out to walk ratio of 13/1in the 8 years he has been the Varsity pitching coach with 111 wins over that time period. Fourteen pitchers from Shenendehowa have garnered All – Suburban Council Honors in that time with three of them earning the coveted Suburban Council ‘Pitcher of the Year’ award, Ian Anderson earning All – American Status, Baseball America’s National “Pitcher of the Year Award” and being selected the third overall pick in the 2016 draft by the Atlanta Braves. Ben Anderson was a first team all NYS as a catcher and selected in the 15th round by the Toronto Blue Jays as a pitcher.
Coach Lansley played collegiately at the College of Saint Rose where he was a 1st Team All-Conference pitcher and the captain of the 2000 Golden Knights team that reached the Division II World Series in Montgomery Alabama. Prior to college coach played at Shenendehowa helping the Plainsmen win the 1994 Section II title by pitching a perfect game in the Sectional Championship on way to an 8-0 record and all-state honors.
Shenendehowa Assistant JV Coach (2013 – Present)
Coach Drown has been a member of the coaching staff since 2013; he works primarily with the conditioning aspect of the pitching camp and with hitters during the Line Drive Academy. He is well versed in the mechanics of hitting and the GC Sports camps approach at the plate.
Greg works with the Freshman group during the spring season and has a wealth of baseball knowledge in many areas that the campers will benefit from. Greg currently plays in the Albany Twilight League and coached the Clifton Park 15u team this past summer.
Schalmont HS Head Baseball Coach (1990 – 2014), Clifton Park Knights (2007 – 2015)
A longtime successful Head Coach at Schalmont H.S. who’s team won the State Class ‘B’ Championship in 2014. During his time at Schalmont Coach Anderson won a school record 325 games along with 5 league titles and 3 sectional titles Coach Anderson is well respected throughout the region and state for his experience and baseball knowledge. As a coach with the Clifton Park Knights his teams went to 2 World Series finishing 3rd in both.
