Shenendehowa Baseball kicks off 2009 Season with a win in their Home Opener..... April 14th
Travis Belleard struggled all day until the 3-2 pitch in the 5th inning with two outs in a 5-5 tie game vs North Division opponent Ballston Spa.
The senior 3B , who had tallied key hits in his junior campaign, ripped a 3-2 fastball deep into the gap in left center and changed the game for good.
His 3 Run double was followed by a RBI single by leftfielder junior Dan Lenney.
Scott Buniak`s solo home run in the second and senior captain Bryan Marotta`s run scoring single in the first rounded out the Plainsmen scoring.
Shen `06 Standout receives 1st America East Player of the Week award...... March 3rd
Murphy Smith `06, All-State Pitcher and # 2 Pitcher at Binghamton University has been named the America East Player of the Week for the first week of the 2009 season.

Coach Carrese is a featured speaker at National Convention..... January 28th
Head Coach James E. Carrese recently gave a speech to the ABCA National Convention/Clinic in San Diego, California.
The ABCA is a 10,000 member Coaches Association, the largest coaches association in the world.
Coach Carrese`s Power Point presentation was on "How to Build a High School Program". The Power Point and attached notes can be found on our Download Menu.
Coach is the Region I represenative to the ABCA HS All-American Committee and was named the ABCA Region I Large school Coach of the Year in 2005.
Coaching Staff attends Baseball Clinic..... January 27th
The Shenendehowa staff attended the Cherry Hill Clinic in Cherry Hill, New Jersey on January 15-16-17. Our staff has attended that clinic since the mid 90`s. The clinic staff features some of the best Professional and College baseball coaches, managers and instructional experts in the country. This year`s clinic featured staff from the NY Yankees, Missippi State and Florida State coaching staffs.

The 2009 Varsity and JV schedules are now posted online. users can go the main Menu and click on Schedule for viewing of both schdules. The 2009 schedule continues the tradition of Shenendehowa baseball playing the toughest non-league schedule of any AA school in NYS.
Non-League opponents such as Suffern-North Rockland {3 time NYS champion}-Liverpool-Rome Free Academy-Union Endicott{NYS Champion}-Binghamton-Albany and Queensbury High School. All schools except Albany have one multiple Sectional Championships and been participants in the NYS Baseball Tournament.
Freshman Schedule announced this February... January 27th
The 2009 Freshman Baseball Schedule will be announced the first week of February. The schedule will consist of 16 Suburban Council games in the newly constructed North Division. Shenendehowa will play North teams twice and the South teams once to complete the 16 game schedule. A DH with Queensbury rounds out the 18 game limit under NYSPHSSAA rules.
2009 Class of Alumni playing Collegiate Baseball... January 27th
The 2009 class of Alumni playing at the next level will be announced thru the Download Menu next month under a PDF format.While the Alumni page is under reconstruction we will use the Download Menu to display the Class of 2009 College Baseball players.
Baseball Conditioning Program.... January 27th
The 2009 season Conditioning program begins November 13th and will conclude on February 27th. All candidiates for Baseball that are not on a Winter Sport Shenendehowa roster must be pretested and attend at least three sessions per week. Attendance will be kept and posted. Players with Private Fitness trainers must see Coach Carrese prior to the beginning of the Session.
