2008 Preview

The 2008 Season brings alot of excitement and anticipation for the veteran class of 2008.
Goals have been established and all the hard work and dedication have been pursued by this group of determined seniors.
The 2008 Plainsmen are a veteran team who won seven of the their last eight games in a difficult junior campaign.
The Plainsmen return two top pitchers in Jeff Carter and Jon Shippee. Senior Brady Farkas emerges from the bullpen to boost our solid pitching staff.Supporting the veteran pitchers are letterman Dave Balsamo, Bryan Marotta, Timmy Jones,Bryan Hunter,Tim Feenan, Chris Howard, Alex Gong, Sammy Rosenzweig,Charles Miller and Dylan Cramer.
The Class of 2009 brings competitive juniors Travis Belleard and Tyler Dehmer to the mix. Added to the mix are the substanial talents of young prospect Brandon Cogswell.
The depth of pitching, the ability to get the "timely basehits" and score runs will help this close knit and "counter-punching" group of players !!
The Plainsmen begin their three month journey in New Jersey then south to the Arundel Tournament in Maryland. Late March the the Plainsmen travel to Mahopac in Putnam County for a DH scrimmage to round out the Pre-Season schedule.
April brings inconsistent weather and trouble getting on fields. Our scrimmage schedule will consist of Schenectady, travel partner Queensbury and Ballston Spa.
Our 2008 Season Opener is Saturday April 12th. The Plainsmen host Suffern HS { Section I } in a home and away series with the Section I powerhouse.
