The history of the Shenendehowa Baseball program dates back to a rural school district in Clifton Park, NY. The year is 1955 and the baseball program is formed to compete against local schools. Paul Quigley is the school`s first coach and a year later he takes the basketball program. Don Van Vleet is hired out of Springfield College in `55 and becomes the district`s second coach in the Spring of 1956. Coach Van Vleet guided the Plainsmen to a record of { } with multiple league titles and two Sectional Championships in 1979 and 1984. Coach Van Vleet retired in 1990.
James E. Carrese was appointed Head Coach of Baseball in 1991.

The Shenendehowa Baseball website offers the following menu items and information for players, parents and interested community supporters:
> Our Download Menu offers information on the administration and operations of the school`s Baseball program. Our Baseball Candidiate Information package and Baseball Candidiate Power Point offer insight into the philosphies and actual adminstration of the program.
The annual March Calendar gives families a detailed look at our tryout schedule and activities in the pre-season.
Additionaly, the Download Menu is a information highway for LL coaches, players and parents.Presentations by our coaching staff at national and local teaching clinics are included.
We also offer information on Teaching Camps offered at The Sports Barn, The Common and other local facilities.
>Our main User menu features specific categories full of information for players, parents, college coaches and MLB scouts.
> Coming the Fall of 2010 is the reconstruction of certain categories such as Alumni and the addition of a Baseball Blog called " Inside Baseball ".
>We will be expanding our existing "Related Links" category to include numerous baseball related sites that will make it easier for our patrons to access their favorite sites.
